Santa December 16, 2008

So far this Christmas season Jillian has seen Santa twice and didn’t like either of them!

First we took her to Santa’s Village.  She eyed Santa while her cousin Mackenzie sat on his lap but when it came time for her turn she wanted no part of it!  Santa expected as much so he told Michael he better have his camera ready!

The next week we took her to see Santa at Morgan Stanley.  She was not a happy camper at all!

Maybe she will like him better next year!

***EDIT***   Do you think the two Santa’s are the same man?  I just noticed that they sure look alike!

Writing on the wall… November 25, 2008

I have decided to copy everyone else and put some vinyl lettering on one of the walls in Jillian’s room.  I want to do some type of quote but need help deciding. 

Her walls are light green and her bedding is an jungle animal baby theme.  The main colors are green, pink and brown so I am thinking about putting the lettering up in pink.

Some of my thoughts so far are:

• Sugar and spice and everything nice that’s what little girls are made of
• Like stardust glistening on fairies wings, little girls dreams are of magical things
• All you need is a little pixie dust.  -Tinkerbell
• All you need is faith and trust, and a little bit of pixie dust.

Any other suggestions or ideas?

From all the talk on the Bargain Boards some of the first mom’s to place orders have actually recieved their car seats today but almost everyone else had their orders canceled. I also read that some people have called Target to complain and they were told that the people that actually did get their seats will be getting invoices for the balance.  They will be giving the opportunity to send the seat back or their cards will be charged the balance.  It will be interesting to see what happens.

I’m pretty bummed I didn’t score one of the car seats but not as mad as some of the women are!  Several have contacted their local news stations and they are running stories on it!

I’m sure you are all on the edge of your seat wanting to know what happens so I will be sure to update you!  =)

Car Seat Deals! November 17, 2008

I am SOOOO excited about this wonderful deal I found last night!

I was playing around on the Babycenter Bargain Hunters board and found a post for a Britax Marathon car seat for $59.99 and free shipping! This car seat is normally $250!

We have the same one in a different pattern already but I am so tired of switching it from car to car I wanted another one. The one we currently have I found on clearance for $129 when they discontinued that pattern and I was so excited about that deal when I found this deal I was THRILLED!

I am just hoping that they actually have enough of them and they don’t cancel all the orders from last night. Some people were ordering 3 or 4 of them and were going to re-sell them to make money!

The cowprint is the one I just ordered and the flowers is the one we already have.

3. Do you ever make gifts for people, if so what, or do you buy them?  Sometimes, I start out making something and then I end up not happy with it and buy something else.

CKU November 13, 2008

I am beyond excited, I get to go to CKU in May!!!

CKU is Creating Keepsakes University and they are going to be holding it in Nashville this year.  It is 4 days of scrapbooking classes and workshops.

Micheal’s mom went to CKU last time it was in Nashville and she came home with TONS of free stuff and learned SOOOOO many neat things.  I have been jealous of her since she got home and showed me all her stuff two years ago.

Registration starts in January so I am asking for some $$$ for Christmas to help pay for it!

Another plus is Michael just happens to be off work the four days I will be gone so I don’t have to worry about Jillian needing extra babysitting!
